LoRaWAN is a Low Power Wide Area Network (LPWAN) technology that is utilized in a wide range of Internet of Things (IoT) applications. The article deals with data security and privacy issues in sensor networks that employ the LoRaWAN (Long-Range Wide Area Network) protocol specification. In this perspective, this article examines the security implications of LoRaWAN sensor networks in depth. Also suggested is a unique secure LoRaWAN network design. The design ensures secure data transfer and avoids data loss and unwanted access. The best practices for providing safe data transmission and data privacy in applications created utilizing the LoRaWAN protocol standard are recommended based on experimental findings and security testing.
