Background and Objective: Universities are seeking to meet students’ needs and expectations and increase their satisfaction, since student satisfaction is one of the important factors in the growth and improvement of educational centers. The purpose of the present study was to determine the relationship between academic satisfaction and academic achievement among students of Social and Educational Sciences of Kermanshah in ۲۰۲۱.Materials and Methods: The present cross-sectional study was conducted with ۳۳۰ student participants using Morgan table and stratified random sampling. The research instrument included the Student Academic Satisfaction Questionnaire, which was used in other studies, the Academic Performance Rating Scale, and student grade point average (GPA). The Student Academic Satisfaction Questionnaire has ۱۴ options that are designed based on a five-point Likert scale (from totally agree to totally disagree) that the total score range is between a minimum of ۱۴ and a maximum of ۷۰. Descriptive and inferential statistics and SPSS software (Version ۲۲) were used to analyze the data. A ۰.۰۵ significance level was used for statistical tests.Results: The mean score of academic satisfaction among students was (۴۳.۷±۸.۲) and the academic satisfaction level was moderate in ۴۵.۳% of the students. Comparing the academic satisfaction level in different fields of study, the highest level of satisfaction was observed in general psychology students (۵۳.۸±۶.۸) and the lowest level of satisfaction was observed in information science students (۴۲.۴±۵.۴) (P<۰.۰۵). The mean score of total grade in students was (۱۵.۵±۸.۲). The mean score of total grade of female students (۱۶.۶۳±۷.۲) was higher than male students (۱۵.۴±۸.۵) (P<۰.۰۵). The results showed that academic satisfaction has a positive and significant correlation with academic achievement (P= ۰.۰۰۱ and R= ۰.۰۳).Conclusion: According to the results of the relationship between academic satisfaction and academic achievement, the study of students' satisfaction should be one of the important dimensions of learning and education in universities.
