شناسایی پرونانس های گونه های راش و بلوط در جنگل های هیرکانی

Q. castaneifola is one of the most important broad leaved species in North of Iran. This species is confined from lowland area to muontane regions in Hyrcanian forest. Such extended area of distribution involving latitudinal and altitudinal zonality should be reflected in natural diversity. For this study seeds of Q. castaneifola from Guilan province was calected and planted in necessary. Then after one year seedlings were planted in randomized complete block design in parcel 5 of district 15 of Shafaroud forests. In each plot 49 seedling (1*1 meter spacing) was planted. The experimental site was established in 1997. Height, diameter and survival of provenances investigated were measured. Analysis of variance was done by SAS software to determine differences between provenances. The result showed that significant difference between provenances in mention parameters (p <0.01). Mean of annual height growth of studied provenances varied from 36 to 60 cm. provenances No. 1, 2, 3, 4 and 9 had best height growth .D.B.H of provenances was between 2 cm and 4.8 cm and provenances 1, 2 and 9 had most d.b.h. Survival rate of this studied provenances was between 58% and 78%. Key Words Oak, Provenance testing, Afforestation,Guilan
