چکیده مقاله:
Objectives: The purpose of the present study is to investigate the effect of competency-based education on the documentation skills of nursing students.Methods: It is a quasi-experimental study, with the statistical population of nursing students of Fasa University of Medical Sciences in ۲۰۲۰. Using the sample size formula for a limited population, ۳۹ students participated in the study. The data collection tool was the admission-discharge checklist. The quality of the report writing of the students in two groups was first scored. The intervention group was educated by the competency-based method and the control group by lecture method in virtual learning. The documentation skill was scored two weeks and one month after the intervention. The data were analysed by SPSS ۲۴ software at the significant level of α = ۰.۰۵.Results: The results showed that there was no significant difference between the mean score of documentation skill at admission and discharge in two groups before education, two weeks and one month after the competency-based education (p <۰.۰۵). However, the intervention group showed an increasing trend compared to the control group.Conclusion: Competency-based education compared to traditional methods has a positive effect no significant on the documentation skills.
