Inspection of Hot water Centrifugal Electro pumps by Vibration Analyses and IR Thermography Methods

چکیده مقاله:

Centrifugal electro pumps are one of the most used rotary machines in various fields and industries such as agriculture, power plants, metal forming, chemical industries, oil and gas. Besides they are used as a water circulator in homes and civil structures. Performance of pumps affect on the energy of above -mentioned industries and malfunctions could increase the energy costs significantly. Presence of faults and defects such as coupling misalignment, damages in bearings, unbalanced impeller or coupling could cause malfunctions in electro pumps. In order to eliminate these defects condition monitoring shall be performed continuously. Thermography and vibration analyses are considered as a proper methods to condition monitoring and inspection of centrifugal electro pumps. In present research condition monitoring of Centrifugal electro pump was conducted by vibration analyses and IR thermography. Three electro pump were tested. FFT spectra were plotted and studied for each pump. Meanwhile IR thermography tests were conducted. The results showed good agreement between vibration analyses and IR thermography results.
