A lot of energy is consumed in buildings due to lack of attention to the climatic condition of every region especially in cold and dry climatic condition of Mes-Sarcheshmeh Region, Kerman, Iran. Limitation in Fossil fuel resources reveals the importance of this issue, furthermore lack of attention to the energy consumption not only effect on energy crises but also it causes environmental pollution. Climatic strategies can be specified for different climatic condition to minimize energy consumption in building using Mahoney table. Therefore the aim of this research is to find out climatic strategies in buildings for Mes-Sarcheshmeh region, Kerman city of Iran through Mahoney table using weather data which has been derived from synoptic weather station which has been installed in Sarcheshmeh region. The result shows that the form of building should be compacted and the Long axis of buildings should be from east to west, furthermore the best condition will be provide when the window area is between ۲۰% to ۴۰% of wall area. In addition it would be better that heavy wall with ۸-h time lag and light insulated roof is considered in designing building in the Sarcheshmeh region, of Kerman city of Iran. This findings can be used for designing more energy efficient building in this area by designer and consultant engineering company.
