Where slow tourism meets sustainability: the case of Kandovan in Iran

Slow tourism is a form of travel that puts social responsibility first while appreciating the environment, cultural identities, and historical contexts I propose that slow tourism work towards being more similar to sustainability and In order to provide a context and overview I match the parameters and indicators of slow tourism with sustainability in a comprehensive model and propose and present a solution in the junction between sustainability and slow tourism, considering the special conditions of the Kandavan region in Iran. It can contribute to the literature of this field due to the presentation of a comprehensive model of the two approaches of slow tourism and sustainability with the aim of providing regional/place-based operational solutions.
