Today, with the growing reliance on electric energy, the matter of electricpower transmission has gained significant importance and continues togrow in significance with each passing day. As the network of powertransmission lines expands, various challenges have emerged for whichmultiple solutions have been put forth. Among these challenges is theissue of voltage fluctuations and the network's instability. In order toaddress this issue, the system has implemented a reactive powercompensation method and introduced several types of compensators tothe market. This paper aims to highlight the characteristics of thesecompensators. The main types include capacitor banks, rotatingmachines, and static reactive power compensators such as SVCs. AsSVCs are more commonly used in transmission lines compared to theother types, our focus will be on exploring the features of SVCs in greaterdetail.
