Preparation and Characterization of Erbium doped ZnWO۴ Nanocrystals

UV/Ion excitable green emitting Erbium doped zinc tungstate (Er: ZnWO۴) nanophosphor were successfully synthesized via co–precipitation technique. Powder XRD analysis confirms that the nanophosphor has monoclinic structure with the average crystallite size of ۴۹ nm. Prepared nanopowders (NPs) exhibited strong visible emissions under UV and proton beam at room temperature. Obtained results showed that Er: ZnWO۴ nanophosphors could be useful for optical application.
