Background: Lack of satisfaction along with negative attitudes among university studentscan lead to adverse consequences; therefore, relevant schools are obliged to make somechanges in order to provide better structures and services. The purpose of this study was toevaluate factors affecting students' satisfaction from Faculty of Social Sciences ofKermanshah in ۲۰۲۲.Methods: The present study was a descriptive cross-sectional research. ۳۲۲ students enrolledat Faculty of Social Sciences of Kermanshah were selected via stratified random samplingmethod using Krejcie & Morgan’s Table. The data collection instrument was a questionnairethat had been already used in other investigations. This questionnaire investigated ۱۲ factorsaffecting satisfaction including effectiveness of educational guidance and counseling, schoolatmosphere, living in a university dormitory, student support services, level of giving studentsa voice, educational effectiveness, financial support, effectiveness of student enrollment andadmission, health and safety status of college, better services, student-centeredness, andresponsiveness to diverse populations. The desired factors were examined within twodimensions of importance and satisfaction, designed in the form of a four-point Likert-typescale. In order to analyze the data, descriptive statistics and inferential ones at the significancelevel of ۰.۰۵ were used.Results: It was reported that; the degree of importance was (۱۸۸.۵±۱۸.۵), the level of studentsatisfaction was (۱۶۳.۱±۱۹.۲), and the amount of gap was (-۲۵.۴±۹.۱). All the factors receiveda high degree of importance but two factors of (educational effectiveness) and (studentsupport services) were the most important factors. The highest level of relative satisfactionwas associated with two factors of (student support services) and (school atmosphere) and thelowest level of satisfaction was assigned to (responsiveness to diverse populations). Thehighest amount of gap was related to the factor of (educational effectiveness) and the lowestvalue was observed in the factor of (student support services). The mean score of the gap infemale students (-۳۲±۹.۲) was higher than that in males (-۲۱.۲±۸.۶) (p=۰.۰۰۲).Conclusion: Since the level of satisfaction in the student was not desirable in this study, theuniversity administrators and staff were recommended to increasingly improve the quality andquantity of services
