A brief review of the types of adsorbents and the effect of surfacemodification on the adsorption capacity enhancing

Surface adsorption is one of the widely used techniques for water purification as well as used industrialoils. The success of the adsorption process strongly depends on the properties of the adsorbent,especially its surface chemistry. The use of appropriate surface modification methods has a significanteffect on increasing the absorption capacity. In this article, a short review of some types of traditionaland advanced industrial absorbers has been discussed at first. And finally, the effect of modifying theabsorbent surface on improving its performance has been investigated.
