Identification of uncertainty among small wind power plants in a power system

The presence of small wind power plants in the medium voltage distribution network is increasing. These units because of the high dependency on Wind speed have a variable production that affects the reliability indices. This problem in microgrids due to the nature of them is more important. Therefore, this paper presents the features of the micro-grids, the reliability indices and a small island with a pneumatic unit using Neplan 8.3. The result of the simulation shows that with proper control of the issues such as controlling the angle of the blades of wind power plants, reliability index is improved.
