چکیده مقاله:

سابقه و هدف: در دو دهه اخیر مطالعات میدانی درباره آثار معنویت و دین بر سلامت تن و روان، شدت گرفته است. شواهد قویاً حاکی از این است که استفاده معقول از دین باعث سلامت بهتر می شود. هدف از مقاله حاضر، مرور مختصر این مطالعات و تبیین چگونگی تأثیر دین داری و معنویت بر سلامتی جسم و روان است. روش: مطالعه حاضر به روش توصیفی با گردآوری اطلاعات، به مطالعه و بررسی اثرات معنویت و دین بر جسم وروان اقدام نموده است. مذهب یک عامل حمایت کننده از ابتلا به بیماری روانی و در حین درمان بیماری است. روانپزشکان و سایر حرف سلامت روان باید با دو زبان معنویت و علم آشنا باشند
